Services

FOOD AND DRINK

Canteen

Service will be available to provide ham/chicken salad rolls, pies/sausage rolls, snacks and cold drinks.

We are currently negotiating with a number of food vans to provide healthy options for hot food in addition to our canteen. Details will be posted here once availability is confirmed.

Drinks in the Function Room

The DAC Function Room will be open from 5:30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights for athletes to relax and unwind for a short while before heading back to their accommodation. The bar will be open with a selection of local Tasmanian wines on offer. Reminder that Saturday night will include the Coaches Forum.

Coffee Vans

We are currently negotiating with two Coffee Vans. We will post details here once availability is confirmed.

FREE SHUTTLE BUS (FRI/SAT)

We will have a free shuttle bus running from the city to the venue (Domain Athletic Centre) on a continual loop for two shifts. Schedule below:

Friday 29th:
7am - 12pm
2pm - 5pm

Saturday 30th:
7am - 12pm
2pm - 5pm

Sunday 31st:
7am - 12pm
2pm - 5pm

Monday 1st:
7am - 12pm
2pm - 5pm

The shuttle will operate on a continual loop in two shifts (see below for times) between the city (16-20 Davey St - see below image for city pick up point) and the DAC, with an expected wait of around 20 minutes between visits to the same stop (the trip itself will be around 6-8 minutes).

As a free, non-ticketed, shuttle we cannot guarantee seats for a particular time, so please ensure that you give yourself a significant buffer, allowing for wait times and the potential for a full bus during busier time

MASSAGE

We will have three massage therapists on hand to help with recovery throughout the event.

Bookings can be made on the SignUp Website.

Massages will be conducted in the "Tin Shed" at the southwest end of the Domain Athletic Centre track (see below image).

FIRST AID

First Aid services will be on hand on all 4 days, provided by St Johns Ambulance.

First Aid will be located near the Finish Line of the track, opposite the Post Event Area.

PHOTOGRAPHY

We have 6 event photographers each day who have been commissioned to an area of the arena to capture athletes in their events and moments around the event itself.

A photographer will be present at all times in the Post Event Area for podium images.

We will be using a program called GeoSnapShot. All photos will be uploaded to the one database for easy access, and the photos can be searched using a variety of filters - eg time, day, photographers name or bib number. Perhaps the most exciting thing about this program though is that you can search using a selfie. This is the technology used at the Pan Pacific Games.

All photographs will be provided FREE OF CHARGE without watermarks. To download a digital copy of your photo, simply locate it, and add it to your cart.

If you take photographs throughout the competition and you would like to share them for free digital download, please contact me ([email protected]) and I will send you an invitation to access the database to upload your photos.

LOST PROPERTY

Any items of lost property can be collected from the administration room.
